The final walk of the week and the weather was set fair. Back at Port Quin all was quiet but the feature of the day was that we never seemed to be out of sight of other walkers which somehow took away the magic of those remote stretches of the SWCP.

A straightforward walk - Epphaven and Lundy Bay very attractive ...

... followed by Lundy Hole ...

At Polzeath, we met up with Fiona for a nice lunch at the Atlantic Hotel and then towards Daymer Bay the choice of route from the car park was a bit tricky. We didn't want to walk along the beach and suspect that a house that was being renovated was masking the true route although it was possible that the inland route had been changed? Anyway, we finally found the path to Rock where we arrived just in time to catch a ferry across to Padstow where Fiona was waiting for us.

Having stayed in Padstow many times this was a very satisfying end to the day and the end of our adventure in the Devon and Cornwall section of the SWCP.

And finally, thanks for all this wonderful help from our friends to get me over the line. None of this could have been achieved without Fiona who has not seen much of the SWCP but has been vital in ferrying us back and forth, and of course to David A, and Justine who is the fittest of all of us and probably walked and swam more miles than any of us and has been our inspiration to keep going to the end.

Having said all that we still have a day trip to organise for our final 7.5ml walk from Swanage to South Haven Point which we hopefully can do before the end of 2023.
