5/9 to 9/9/2022 Polruan to Cremyll Ferry (33 mls)

A year had gone past since we were last able to walk the SWCP so we were looking forward to getting back on the wonderful Cornish coast. However, after a record breaking few months of dry weather in the UK, the weather suddenly changed and the forecast was for severe heavy and thundery showers moving in unpredictable lines across the South West for the whole of the week! The forecast of exactly where these showers would occur changed from day to day and often during the day so we had to adapt our schedule accordingly as best we could with often very wet results.

Fiona was back in action running the Uber service but, as a result of the major illness that she suffered during the year, was severely restricted in visits that she could make whilst we were walking. After having had to cancel two booked walking weeks earlier in the year we were all delighted that she had made an amazing recovery. We stayed for 4 nights in Oak Lodge conveniently sited just outside Looe.

Each of the above walks are described in individual blog pages.

NOTE - The SWCP Association Walking Guides for each leg of the path are available from the SWCP Association Shop and are packed with detail not only about the route but also interesting facts about what to see on the way.
