4/10/2022 Wembury (Noss Mayo) to River Erme (Mothecombe) (9.36 mls)

Getting down the country lanes, and through Noss Mayo, to arrive at the landing stage by Ferry Cottage on the opposite side of the river from Warren Point, was again an entertaining drive! We were surprised at the size of the apparent thriving community there set in very attractive surroundings.

Generally, the walking was easy although there are some steep ups and downs, particularly into the Combe below Beacon Hill. Passing a large well concealed caravan park at Stoke Beach we suspected that there maybe was a cafe, but we were on the high road so decided to continue on to Mothecombe where just above the slipway there is a terrific cafe in what was the village primary school near the Mothecombe car park.
