This was a momentous week in that when complete we would have walked from Torquay to Swanage on the South Coast section, just leaving the final stroll to the finishing line, plus of course all the other bits from Fowey to Torquay and Barnstaple to Polzeath to complete hopefully in 2022.
We were based in an excellent house, Mellowstone, in Chideock, the A35 providing us with quick travel in both directions enabling us to also complete the Lulworth Cove to Kimmeridge leg that we couldn't do last year as the army range was closed to walkers at that time.

The weather forecast was constantly changing so we were not surprised that DavidL's carefully planned schedule had to be modified (as shown below in red) during the week, but we managed to complete the week's objectives, with time to spare at the end of each day to check out the local beers. DavidA was in seventh heaven as many of the pubs in the area served Timothy Taylor Landlord beer, apparently a brewer somewhere in a northern county called Yorkshire!

Each of the above walks are described in individual blog pages.
NOTE - The SWCP Association Walking Guides for each leg of the path are available from the SWCP Association Shop and are packed with detail not only about the route but also interesting facts about what to see on the way.
