There was one 'hole' on our route on the South Devon coast which we needed to complete - Torcross to Torquay so we based ourselves in a 4 storey town house in a gated community in Brixham, 18 Moorings Reach. The property is right on the SWCP and has superb views over the harbour with the fishing fleet and market to the left, and the marina to the right. Being 4 storeys was perhaps not the best for Fiona with her mobility issues!, but the location more than made up for it with the easy access to the SWCP, shops, restaurants and pubs, as well as early morning runs and swims for Justine.

When this section was completed we had walked from Minehead to Barnstable and Polzeath to Swanage, leaving just Barnstable to Pozeath and the final 8mls from Swanage to the finishing line later in the year.
The walking plan for the 3 days was as shown below. With the advance weather forecasts we were expecting to make some changes but this time we were lucky, although on both of the first 2 days the expected rain arrived 15mins earlier than we expected. The main concern was the walk from Kingswear to Brixham which several people had warned us was very strenuous, but, the day was dry and sunny but with a cool breeze - it was March after all!

Instead of the usual selfie, our group photo for this adventure was taken for us down on Brixham Harbourside with the replica of the Golden Hind in the background, by a kind lady.

Each of the above walks are described in individual blog pages.
NOTE - The SWCP Association Walking Guides for each leg of the path are available from the SWCP Association Shop and are packed with detail not only about the route but also interesting facts about what to see on the way.
